10. Scientific Basis

This application provides Pa-Ta-Ka-Ra exercises for the prevention and improvement of oral frailty. Oral frailty is defined in the joint statement by the Japan Geriatrics Society, the Japanese Society of Gerodontology, and the Japan Society on Sarcopenia and Frailty as "a state where the risk of decline in oral function is increasing due to the accumulation of 'minor declines' in various functions, typically represented by tooth loss and difficulties in eating and speaking, but which is also improvable."

Among the five check items for oral frailty, regarding "slurred speech," based on the view of the Japan Dental Association, pronunciation of "Pa," "Ta," and "Ka" less than 6.0 times/second is used as the criterion for determining slurred speech, which can be easily measured with this application. This application supports users in maintaining and improving their oral function through Pa-Ta-Ka-Ra exercises. Collected data is anonymized and used for research purposes in a form that cannot identify individuals.

This application is primarily intended for the following users:

User data is retained as long as the account is valid. Upon uninstallation of the application, data is stored only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of use and is then promptly deleted. Voice data and face image data are used only during game play and are not stored on servers or devices.

Users can withdraw their consent regarding the collection and use of personal information at any time. Withdrawal of consent and requests for data deletion can be made through the contact point specified in Article 19 of this policy. Furthermore, users have the right to request the deletion of their personal information.
